Since the past couple of years, the field of technology and robotics has grown exponentially. But at the end of the day, it is defined by what do we do with it. Boston Dynamics’ Spot, the robot dog is one such example.
YouTuber Michael Reeves got this robot dog and used his tech expertise to turn Spot into an ultimate bartender.
He edited some codes and taught the robot dog to literally ‘piss beer’ on command. On his YouTube channel, Reeves shows how Spot identifies a glass that’s placed on the floor and then ‘pees’ beer into it.
Yeah, amazing use of a robot, eh? A robot that could be a part of a dystopian future is currently used as a drinking buddy. *shakes head*
But the YouTuber points out that this programming isn’t flawless. “Piss bot is working flawlessly. 35 percent of the time,” he said.
As fun as it looks, the four-legged robot does not come cheap. Spot costs $75,000. Yup, you read that right! It got more accessible this year as Boston Dynamics allowed the product to be bought commercially.
