On Wednesday morning, before bidding farewell to the White House, former President Donald Trump left the 46th US President and his successor: a letter.
“The President wrote a very generous letter,” Biden told reporters. “Because it was private, I will not talk about it until I talk to him, but it was generous.”
Donald Trump broke a lot of presidential traditions in the aftermath of his election loss. From refusing to concede the election to not welcoming Bidens in the White House to skipping his successor’s inauguration, Donald Trump made his stance pretty clear.
However, he did follow a modern tradition of leaving a letter for the new president before exiting the Oval Office on Wednesday.
As reports of the letter surfaced online, social media users had a field day imagining its contents.
