A ceramic statue of former US president Mr. Donal Trump has been found being sold in a Chinese E-commerce platform Taobao under the slogan ‘make your company great again!‘.
The seller has also labeled the Trump Buddha Statue as “Trump, who knows Buddhism better than anyone.”
The ceramic statue portrays Trump sitting, posing with his hands on his lap and a peaceful expression on his face. Just Like many traditional statues of Buddha in China.
The listing was posted by a furniture maker from Xiamen from the province of Fujian. There are only 100 Trump Buddha statues and out of which dozens are already sold.
The statue is priced ranging from 999 yuan ($153 USD) to 3,999 yuan ($614.45 USD), depending on its size. 999 yuan is for the small statues measuring 16cm tall and 3,999 is for the larger ones, measuring 46cm tall.
“Most people bought it just for fun.” The statue seller said the Global Times
One buyer from Shanghai said the Global Times “I bought it for fun and put it on my desk at home as a decoration. Trump can also be regarded as a representative of an era, and extreme egoism. Now the era has passed but I want the statue to remind me: Don’t be too Trump.”
