After a photoshopped pair of ‘skin heels’ caught the attention of Vogue for their human-skin appearance and unsettling form, a Canadian fashion brand fecal matter made them into actual wearable heels.
Yup. These heels are for real!
The heels in the frame are a pair of thigh-high silicon footwear, fashioned into an en pointe form and ‘supported’ by a steep scythe heel made to look like a bodily growth of some sort.
These heels are custom-designed by the sculptor Sarah Sitkin from silicon and meant to match the skin tone of the person who is wearing them. And these heels start at USD$10,000 a pair.
You can definitely put them on your list for this year’s Halloween costume.
