Little Mayah Aziz was born with the gift of a very beautiful yet unique feature that makes her look like she’s straight out of a fairytale —a white streak in her hair. When she was born, she surprised her doctors and nurses as well. However, her mother Talyta wasn’t surprised one bit.
The genetic condition that Mayah has is called piebaldism and is apparently very prevalent in her family.
Meet Mayah Aziz. She was born with a white streak in her hair caused by a rare genetic condition called piebaldism.
The mother, Talyta shared her story with Boredpanda. She said — “I didn’t have a very easy pregnancy! I lived in Australia with my husband for almost 5 years and was organized all year. Behold, in February 2018 I found out I was pregnant. Never imagine that at 40, you would get pregnant accidentally. Even so, we were very happy, we wanted this baby so much and we would fix it.”
She opened up, saying – “When I was a child, I suffered a lot of bullying because of my looks and marks on the body. I spent all my childhood and adolescence hiding behind clothes and makeup. Around my early 20s, I realized that I was unique. That it made me special.”
This conditions runs in Talyta’s family which is why Mayah was born with it too.
“Since Mayah was born, she has carried a wave of love wherever she goes. The same characteristic that caused me pain causes tenderness. What makes me happier with all this is that she is an instrument to share love, tenderness, and that being different is cool.
Many people come to me to talk about hiding until they see Mayah. That before, they had something strange, and that today, they have the same as the ‘white fringe girl.’ They even know the name, piebaldism. Mayah is growing up learning to respect people and I try to teach her to be a person of values. This is my mission as a mom.”
Little Mayah has even started cosplaying characters that have the same condition as hers. Here we see her dressed up as Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians.

Excitingly enough, we see Mayah’s mother join her in various cosplays as well. What an enigmatic mother-daughter duo!
We are so warmed to see how Mayah Aziz’s parents encourage her to embrace her unique and beautiful feature. A true marvel, isn’t she?
