Remember how we all used to build LEGO models when we were kids? One brick at a time. That’s exactly how two certified LEGO master model makers––– Rene Hoffmeister and Pascal Lenhard built a life-size version of the Volkswagen T2 camper from 400,000 LEGO bricks.
It took them 6 weeks to build the whole van! The entire model was built around a steel-tube frame and can support the weight of two adults. That means not only from the outside, but you can also admire this masterpiece from the inside too.
This LEGO version of the Volkswagen camper was revealed at the f.re.e Travel and Leisure Fair in Germany as a homage to the classic Volkswagen design.
The model features retro-inspired interiors artistically carrying out the symbol of 1950s and 1960s “on the road” culture.
The van has folding tables, a sink, coffee set, gas stove, a hot plate, radio, sink, dishes, and artwork. All made of LEGO bricks.
There are even a couple of toothbrushes and a tube of toothpaste.
And that is not it. Its builders even managed to incorporate a sliding door and fully-functioning lights.
