Meet Joe Biden’s Rescue Dog Major & Champ, White House’s First Dogs After 4 Years

Champ And Major, Joe Biden's Pet Dogs

The White House will be welcoming its next POTUS and FLOTUS with two adorable pooches, that too after 4 years! After Donald Trump’s pet-free tenure, Joe Biden‘s rescue dog, Major, and Champ are all set to make it to their next house.

Champ and Major are german shepherds. While Champ was bought in 2008 and has already been to the White House once! He lived at the vice presidential residence in the US during Biden’s two terms with former President Barack Obama.

Major was adopted from an animal shelter in 2018, and will be entering the White House for the first time!

Those who follow the Bidens actively on social media must have already seen Champ and Major frequently. The dogs have made surprising cameos during some of their election campaigns too!

This is not the first time a rescue dog is staying at the White House. Lyndon B. Johnson, the 36th President of the US, also had a dog named Yuki who was found by his daughter at a Texas gas station on Thanksgiving in 1966.

Another highly papped-pet, Socks, the famous black and white cat belonging to the Clinton family, was originally a stray who jumped into Chelsea Clinton’s arms in Arkansas.

Major and Champ are best of friends and you can swoon over them on Dr. Jill Biden’s Instagram!

We are looking forward to getting lots of Christmas wishes from Major and Champ! This is surely is the cutest change coming this 2021!
