Icy Sculpture With A Frozen Cavemen Appears In A Minneapolis Park

Looks like the monolith bizarreness isn’t over yet! An icy sculpture containing a frozen caveman has emerged next to the trails in a Minneapolis park, leaving local hikers stunned.

People are comparing it to the monolith that appeared in different places in the world. The sculpture depicts caveman Zug Zug encased in plastic that looks like a giant block of ice.

However, unlike the monolith mystery, this one is known to be made by artist Zack Schumack, who had designed the caveman for a marketing event. However, he decided to share the piece with the people of Minneapolis, for an interesting reason.

‘Every day I would go to my garage and see this thing looking at me and it seemed like such a shame that this piece of art was just sitting there,’ Schumack told Fox 9.

‘I really like that it’s getting some attention because it’s getting people to get away from their TVs and computer screens,’ he added.

Schumack wanted to bring something different for the people to talk about, and would ‘encourage people to get out, to go to the parks, go to the trails and explore the park’.

The statue was handmade by Schumack and was originally placed in the park without the Park Department’s permission. It was surprisingly loved by the locals!

Schumack has hinted that another installation is due in a few days, so watch this space for more updates!
