These rare birds are found in rainforests, usually in the upper canopy layer of tropical lowland forests. Due to the destruction of their habitat, their number is now less than 50.000 worldwide.

Their rear talons are about 3-4 inches long – and that’s the same size as a grizzly bear’s claws!
