‘I’m Not a Cat,’ Lawyer Explains To A Judge When He Can’t Change The Zoom Filter

Court Room Zoom Fail

Zoom filters are funny, but what happens when you’re stuck with one? How do you explain to a courtroom of judges, in sheer seriousness, that you’re “not a cat”? Rod Ponton got himself in a funny zoom fail situation, when he was unable to remove a cute kitty Zoom filter, in a Texas court hearing.

Rod promised the judge his legal assistant was working to rectify the issue, but his kitty eyes kept growing bigger, and wider, as he explained! Rod felt the need to justify that he wasn’t really a cat, to which the judge replied “I can see that.”

Judge Roy Ferguson shared the video on social media, suggesting people to keep their filters switched off before joining virtual hearings. Thankfully, he took it in good humour.

Rod was actually using his secretary’s computer when it happened.

Rod is taking the hilraious mishap in great spirit. “If I can make the country chuckle for a moment in these difficult times they’re going through, I’m happy to let them do that at my expense.”, he told the New York Times.
