Over the past few weeks, the world is wondering how a 54-year-old looks like a twenty-year handsome hunk, with flawless skin and chiseled jawline. Don’t believe us? Meet Chuando Tan, the man who is clearly not aging at all, or basically aging backward. If you don’t believe us, here’s proof!
Tan is not lying! He actually is 54 years old. And he is very open in sharing the secrets to looking like time has no effect on him at all!
Chuando Tan is a photographer from Singapore who attracted the attention of the whole world to himself by not only taking photos of other people but his own photos too.
It’s known that this Singaporean man used to be a model in the 1980s; he even managed to become a pop singer in the ’90s. But his career in singing didn’t last long and that’s why Tan chose another profession — photography. Once, he posted a photo of himself and the rest is all history.
What makes him look so young? Conscious living, we would say!
Tan eats poached eggs for breakfast
“I try to have my protein intake,” He says to Sumiko Tan during a luncheon. He eats eggs with the minimum yolk. “I think having two yolks is fine. There are reports saying that yolk is good. I don’t know, cannot keep up.” Says Tan.
Apart from eggs, he eats chicken with rice, grilled vegetables, and fish soup during the day. He also avoids coffee and tea but drinks a lot of water. He doesn’t smoke, doesn’t drink alcohol, and eats a salad made of fresh greens for dinner.
Tan workouts 90 mins per day
Tan does his strength training 4 times a week, or at least 3 times if he is too busy. A good week would see him at the gym five times, for a maximum of an hour and a half each, but he often manages with just three sessions a week. He doesn’t run because of a knee injury but does speed walking on the treadmill, and he swims.
Tan uses minimal skincare items.
Some are sure that Tan gets plastic surgery and uses some special cosmetics. But he says, “I have sensitive skin that’s why there are only 2 things I use daily: gel face wash and moisturizing cream.” He says he tried Botox once around his eyes but didn’t like the result and hasn’t done it again.
He goes to bed early!
Chuando Tan says, “Trust me, going to bed early is worth it. Having had enough sleep, you’ll be able to do more things during the day rather than if you work at night.”
He does only what he likes to do and stays away from all the negative talks
“They said, ‘please stop it. Don’t do this, you’re 50 years old’, like, wow, so is there like a standard behavior that I’m supposed to follow? Send it to me, then I take a look. People are like that. We are more comfortable when everybody is the same, right?“
“As long as you’re good to your parents, people that you care for, people around you, and to whoever your God is, that’s good enough. You’re so small, how are you going to please the whole world?“
“There are many people who are still very puzzled about the way how I look at 52. But I do think it is all about logic. I mean if we did exercise and watch our diet before we get too old, we’ll kind of slow down the aging process.“
So the secret is to do what you love, a healthy diet, sound sleep, and exercise. Jared Leto, Chris Evans, Margot Robbie, and many other celebrities stick to a similar lifestyle.
